Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo) was established on Oct 1, 2024, following the merger between Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) and Tokyo Medical and Dental University.

Science Tokyo is the top national university specializing in science, engineering & medical fields in Japan with a history spanning 143 years. The science & engineering fields provides 6 Schools and 19 Departments, and there are approximately 10,000 students at three campuses - two in Tokyo, and one in Yokohama. International students are forming an integral part and constitute 26% (graduate school) and 16% (total).

We have degree programs taught in English at graduate levels – the International Graduate Programs (IGP) cater for those hoping to pursue more advanced science or engineering degrees.

Our undergraduate program is taught in Japanese, with the exception of the Global Scientists and Engineers Program (GSEP), a transdisciplinary Bachelor of Engineering program taught in English.
